Na Zelené lišce School
The SS murdered scores of civilians at Na Zelené lišce School and the surrounding streets during the Prague Uprising between 6 and 8 May, most of them in Úsobská Street. The SS-Kampfverband Wallenstein units held primary responsibility for these massacres.
At Na Zelené lišce School, a section of the Wallenstein unit was housed, known as the guard battalion SS-Wachtbatallion 2 Prag, which was rescued from the insurgent encirclement by soldiers from SS-Kampfgruppe Jörchel on 6 May 1945. A day later, the garrison detonated the nearby ammunition storage and abandoned the school. However, the advancement of the SS Wallenstein group was halted by a well-organised group of insurgents led by former legionaries. (Pankrac prison).
